Studios & Gallery

MREAM (Maribyrnong River Edge Art Movement) was founded in 1988
and
consists of a range of visual and performing artists - young and old -

living, working and exhibiting throughout Melbourne's western suburbs.

In 2013 MREAM established its new home in Maidstone where we occupy and lease
studio spaces, run community arts/craft workshops and coordinate
our brand new public art gallery!

MREAM Studios & Gallery

MREAM Studios & Gallery is a large, vibrant art space located in Melbourne’s inner western suburb of Maidstone, close to Ballarat Road and High Point Shopping Centre.

The space is run entirely by volunteer members of MREAM and the organisation aims to foster an inclusive space where artists of all forms can express themselves openly, collaborate with other creatives and engage our broader community in a variety of artistic/cultural activities.

MREAM Studios

MREAM Studios consists of fifteen artist studios of differing sizes, ranging from desk size to larger open studio spaces, suitable for multiple occupants.

Studio rent is calculated on floor space ($6.00 per square metre, per week) and includes access to a kitchenette, bathroom with shower facilities and Wi-Fi.

Our studios are rented on a month by month basis and can be occupied by painters, illustrators, sculptors, writers, musicians, crafters and photographers and small business owners.

Currently Entre Todos (a Spanish program on Channel 31) occupy a studio with MREAM and we welcome applications from similar small businesses who might wish to come on board!

Studio members have access to MREAM’s Workshop Room, where a variety of classes operate including: life drawing, painting and craft classes, social/language groups.

Assigned areas within our studio are also available for temporary hire by performing artists e.g. musicians, bands, dancers.

MREAM Gallery

MREAM Gallery measures approximately 5 x 9 metres, and features plaster walls, both natural and artificial lighting, a small kitchenette and access to an exterior courtyard.  A wide ramp and double doors at the front entrance to the gallery, as well as a sturdy concrete floor, mean our gallery can accommodate larger sculptural works.

The Gallery has an active exhibition program and is now taking in proposals for 2015!

I read your blog, its really awesome,
I am seeing that you are selling home. I have also a site related to you.
You may need to move to some other place because of your job or occupation. If you are a homeowner, you will have to sell off your house.
